Ramshorn Snails

From this listing, you’ll receive the color and quantity of Ramshorn Snails you select.

“Feeder Pack” will be mostly brown & brown leopard and NOT have pretty shells.
”Skittles” will be an assortment of bright colors.
Any color selection that includes “Leopard” will include solid and spotted variations of that color depending on our current stock.

These Ramshorn Snails are home raised in the personal tanks of both of us here at Gorgeous Gastropods. And we always include a few extras.

These snails are almost as fun to watch as mystery snails. They parasnail, they surf the water tension, they’ll ride around on your floating plants, they boogie all around your tank, AND they actually do a job! These guys eat algae, leftover food, detritus, dead plant debris, and hydra! They also come in lots of beautiful colors, and we include every color we have in our assortments.

Ramshorns reproduce quickly and readily. They make excellent food for puffers and any other snail eaters. We keep our snails in planted community tanks in our homes with fish, shrimp, and other snail species. We’re in the high mountains of Colorado and have fairly hard water. We also regularly dose our tanks with Magic Minerals. Snails require an alkaline environment with a pH over 7 to thrive.

We don’t do returns or exchanges. However, we do have a DOA guarantee. We guarantee live arrival of all of our snails, shrimp, and plants.

In order to receive a DOA refund, we have to receive a picture within 2 hours of delivery (meaning when it was dropped off at the provided address) showing the dead snail hanging limply out of its shell or the empty shells of the snails we sent you. Another acceptable method of proof to receive your refund is to send us a video of you crushing the snail. Refunds are for the deceased creature only.

***SITUATIONS THAT VOID THE DOA GUARANTEE***

1.) Choosing Ground Shipping at checkout. Ground Shipping takes longer to arrive, thus putting more stress on the creatures. If you choose USPS Ground, the DOA is voided.

2.) Package is unsuccessfully delivered on the first attempt (we ship to the address provided by you at checkout, it’s your responsibility to ensure the address is correct). If the shipping company is unable to deliver on the first attempt, the DOA is voided.

3.) Not opening your package immediately upon delivery. Once shipped, a tracking number is provided, it’s your responsibility to open it as soon as the package is delivered. If the package is not opened within 2 hours of delivery, the DOA is voided.

4.) Package is lost due to package thief. (If this happens, please contact your local USPS, UPS, or FedEx to file a claim)

5.) Not providing the above, required proof of death within the 2 hour time window. If proof that the snails you received from us arrived dead is not provided, the DOA is voided.

Our shipping charge includes insulated packaging with either a heat pack or cold pack as necessary.

We ship on Mondays and Tuesdays. Orders placed by 8:00 pm MST (Mountain Standard Time) on Monday will be shipped that Tuesday. Orders placed after that will be shipped the following week.
Our shipping fee includes insulated packaging and a cold or hot pack as needed, depending on the season.
