The Ozelot Sword is a beginner level freshwater plant. It’s very easy to grow with minimal requirements. It does best with at least 3 to 4 inches of plant specific aquarium soil substrate, such as Fluval Bio Stratum, so it can develop its large root ball.

These plants are grown in my community tanks with snails, shrimp, and fish. That means they’re grown submerged, it also means there’s a high likelihood of hitchhikers. My tanks are kept at 76°F with a ph of 7.8 and no Co2. They’re planted in Fluval Stratum and are getting fish, snail, and shrimp poop as fertilizer as well as monthly doses of Magic Minerals (which is available in our listings).
Please note: Ozlot Sword leaves will likely melt back some initially, don’t worry this is common and happens often with many aquatic plants after being introduced into a new tank. After the initial melt, new leaves will grow and the plants will get bigger before you know it.

* * * SITUATIONS THAT VOID THE DOA GUARANTEE * * * 1.) Choosing Ground Shipping at checkout. Ground Shipping takes longer to arrive, thus putting more stress on the plants. If you choose a shipping method through the USPS, the DOA is voided. 2.) Package is unsuccessfully delivered on the first attempt (I ship to the address listed with Etsy, it’s your responsibility to ensure the address is correct). If the shipping company is unable to deliver on the first attempt, the DOA is voided. 3.) Not opening your package immediately upon delivery. Once shipped, a tracking number is provided, it’s your responsibility to open it as soon as the package is delivered. If the package is not opened within 2 hours of delivery, the DOA is voided. 4.) Package is lost due to package thief. (If this happens, please contact your local USPS or UPS to file a claim) 5.) Not providing the above, required proof of death within the 2 hour time window. If proof that the plants you received from us arrived dead is not provided, the DOA is voided. *We evaluate on a case by case basis and will make every reasonable attempt to be fair.

We ship on Tuesdays. Orders completed by 8:00pm MST (Mountain Standard Time) on Monday will be shipped that Tuesday. Orders placed after that will be shipped the following week.
