To be purchased with your snail. You will not receive a snail from the purchase of this listing. This is just for identifying a specific gender for you prior to shipping the snail you purchased separately.
It can take a considerable amount of time to locate the specific gender you request; especially since these guys are known to burrow on occasion so sometimes we have to dig through the substrate.. And, when you pick these guys up, they snap shut and may not come out to show us their parts for a good long while. It can sometimes take over 45 minutes for them to come back out of their shells after being handled.
We do this 1-2 days before shipping, depending on the number of requests, and have to keep each person’s snails separate from the group. That’s a lot of breeder boxes lining the tops of our tanks 😅
Anyhoo, as far as we know, we’re the only vendors offering this service, and now we totally get why. It’s very time consuming.
